One Skein Shawl Knitting Pattern with Beads - Lady Luck

About this Pattern

In 2025 we went on an amazing trip to Las Vegas, so I had to knit a shawl for the occasion, and here she is - meet Lady Luck!

Invite a little fortune to sit on your shoulders with Lady Luck, a one‑skein shawl that transforms your yarn and beads into symbols of chance and possibility.

Along the border, a playful bit of stitch‑craft takes centre stage: yo, k2tog combinations create the outlines of playing cards, each one a frame for the four beaded card suits: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Worked from the top down, the shawl drapes effortlessly with the weight of the beads.

The result is a playful, striking shawl whether you’re knitting it as a gift or wearing it for a touch of everyday magic. So next time you settle down for a game of Snap or Rummy, don’t forget your Lady Luck shawl for the win!

Pattern Testimonials

"This is a beautiful shawl. The addition of beads gives it a good weight, but not heavy. The pattern is written clearly and very easy to follow. The stitch count checklist is very helpful" - Linda
