How to Left Cross a 2/2 Cable Without a Cable Needle
Worked over 4 stitches you will be crossing 2 stitches over 2 stitches to create a left slanting cable.
1. Leaving the next 2 stitches on the left-hand needle, bring the right hand needle around the back and slip into the back the loops of the 2 following stitches.
2. Transfer these 2 stitches to the right hand needle by using your right thumb to hold the first 2 stitches in place and pulling the left hand needle out of all 4 stitches.
3. Pick up the 2 live stitches with the left hand needle, and then transfer the other 2 stitches to the left hand needle too.
4. Knit these 4 stitches as normal and continue as per pattern.
