Imagine the freedom of sailing on the open water. Windblown hair. Salty skin. Setting your sights on the horizon. Letting the wind take you wherever it will and trusting that all will be OK. That's the feeling that inspired this shawl.
This half-circle shawl is worked from the top down and shaped like your view from the ship’s bow. After the garter tab cast-on, it’s smooth sailing through the body of stockinette. As you approach the border, you’ll hoist your sails through a series of eyelets and wavy lace motifs, before casting off and sailing into the sunset - with a lovely new shawl :)
This pattern was designed to showcase a Steni Vala 'Shades of...' colourway. This series of tonal colourways combine 2-3 different shades of colour that subtly blend together and give a beautiful depth and richness to your stitches. There are 6 different colour options that you can choose for your kit.
