About this Pattern

New to knitting from charts? This one is for you! Knit this shawl using the 'Charts Explained' version of the pattern with lots of hints and tips on how to read and use charts to read your knitting.

Take a walk through morning streets of dappled sunlight wrapped in the hug of a big, cosy shawl. Dappled Days was inspired by the start of a new day and the promises it can bring. As the sunlight filters through the leaves, paths become illuminated with a million patches of light, each one lighting the way to something new. These tiny pools of light are reflected in the simple lace stitches of the Dappled Days shawl, and the straight and bold garter stitch stripes are horizons expanding before you.

Dappled Days is a top-down triangular shawl designed with the new lace knitter in mind. Two colours of DK yarn alternate in bands of garter stitch and lace. When selecting yarn colours, solid colourways will work best; choose a light-coloured yarn for the lace so the stitches can shine.
