My new shawl pattern 'Paper Lanterns' is now available on Ravelry and on the website Here

About this Pattern

Even the greyest day becomes a celebration when you wear your Paper Lanterns shawl! The asymmetric triangle features stripes of tiny lanterns dancing across it. The shawl can be worked in just two colours or as many as you’d like. Choose a bright and bold or soft and subtle colour palette to suit your style. This is also a great chance to use up bits of leftover yarn.

The shawl is worked by alternating colours every 4 rows, so you are only dealing with one colour at a time. The easy-to-work, easy-to-memorize dip stitch is fun to work and you don’t have to worry about weaving in the ends for each stripe; they each get their own bit of fringe along the edge!

Video tutorials are provided for all stitches used, including working the 4 rows of the Dip Stitch pattern and for making the tassels at the end.

I had some fantastic testers for this shawl and we had lot's of fun choosing colours and combinations for the pattern. Tests were knit in a range of 2 colours to too many to count! Thank you Anna, Christina, Clau, Dari, Debbie, Denise, Jo and Frauke for bringing the pattern to life. Here are some of the shawls from the test knit.
