I have a new free pattern available! This is the Coffee Shop Cowl which you can download on Ravelry and on the website.

About this Pattern

The Coffee Shop cowl is a beginner friendly pattern, designed to use just knit and purl stitches. Knit with soft DK yarn, the cowl is textured, reversible warm and lightweight - the perfect accessory for when you are out and about!

The easy to remember pattern repeats provide interest for established knitters, whilst a beginner knitter will find it an ideal project to practice knit and purl stitches.

Worked lengthways, the cowl is knit to the desired length and then seamed at the end to make a loop.  There are ideas given at the end of the pattern on how to make the cowl into a double loop, a scarf or even a wrap – and also a handy hint on how to calculate the amount of yarn required for your new projects!

And speaking of yarns, there are some lovely new DK skeins that have just gone onto the website that would be perfect for this project - including some sparkle yarns - take a look!

Skills / Techniques used: Slipped, knit and purl stitches, (the slipped stitch is optional and can be knit if preferred)

Sizes: One size, although this can be easily adjusted to preference.

Measurements: The finished cowl as shown measures 30” / 76cm circumference and 7” / 18cm depth when blocked.

Materials Used:

Gauge: 20 stitches and 30 rows to 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch after blocking
