April Showers is the Yarn of the Month for April 2023. A celebration of the unpredictability of British weather in the Springtime, this is a colourway of pale silvery greys and soft blues, with pops of bright blue and navy speckles to accent your stitches.

I have lots of pattern suggestions for this colourful yarn. You could make a pair of colourful socks using the beginner friendly 'Let the Yarn Shine' sock pattern, or create a one skein shawl kit from the many patterns available.

Yarn Winding Service - The hand-dyed yarn from my shop will be posted to you as skein, which is a big, twisted loop. In order to use your yarn you will need to wind the skien into a ball or a cake so that it doesn't end up as a big tangled mess!

I offer a yarn winding service where I use my swift and wool-winder to cake up your yarn so that when you recieve it you can start using it straight away. Click here to request for your yarn to be caked up for you.

This skein has all the soft and breathable qualities of merino but with the added durability of nylon, making it perfect for sock knitting, or for projects that require that extra bit of robustness. 

The merino yarn has been treated with a superwash which is a process used to flatten out the yarn scales, making them less prone to felting. This means that the yarn can be machine washed, although we do recommend handwashing your hand-knits if possible.

Suggested Needle Size: 2.25mm - 3.75mm
