This yarn is a one of a kind and was ice dyed on the Island of Alonissos, Greece.
The yarn was placed in a container and the ice was placed on top. Dye was then sprinked on top of the ice and left in the sun. As the ice melted the dyes created the pools of colour captured in the yarn.
How to knit from a sock blank
You can knit directly from this sock blank. Just untie the end attached to the label and unravel the blank as you knit!
Blocking your finished knit from a sock blank is highly recommended as this will remove any kinks in the yarn.
This blend has all the soft and breathable qualities of merino but with the added durability of nylon, maing it perfect for sock knitting, or projects that require that extra bit of robustness.
This merino yarn has been treated with a superwash which is a process used to flatten out the yarn scales, making them less prone to felting. This means that the yarn can be machine washed, although we do recommend handwashing your hand-knits if possible.
