This Girl is Taking Bets is one of my favourites to dye. Each skein uses the same colours but is dyed individually and different colour amounts get picked up each time - I never know how it’s going to turn out, sometimes the dominant colour is pink, sometimes it's purple and sometimes it's blue - and always there are a myriad of other colours running throughout the skein too!
If this colorway is not in stock, or if you would like extra skeins, it can be dyed to order for you. Just drop me a message through the Contact Form. As the dyelots are done in small batches they can vary slightly from the picture shown but you will receive a photograph of your yarn before it is posted to check you are happy with the results.
Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) is an English longwool breed. Whilst not as baby soft as the merino yarn it still feels lovely against the skin and is renowned for its lustrous shine and drape. This 4ply yarn is great for drapey garments, accessories and shawls. It is smooth and gives great stitch definition. The scales of BFL fibre are longer than merino which means they are less resistant to felting.
This yarn has been treated with a superwash which means that the yarn can be machine washed, although we do recommend handwashing your hand-knits if possible.
Per skein: 400m / 437 yds - 100g
Suggested Needle Size: 3mm - 3.75mm
This yarn was used in the Chain Reaction Shawlette pattern.
